Henry’s Bio

Henry Blodget is the founder and editor of Regenerator, the publication for people who want to build a better future. He’s also the co-founder and former CEO and editor-in-chief of Business Insider, a tech-and-business news organization. Under Henry’s leadership, Business Insider grew from a one-person startup in a loading dock to a leading global news organization with more than 750 employees and offices in 15 countries.

Over the past three decades, Henry has written and spoken extensively about technology, economics, business, markets, and innovation.

In the 1990s, Henry was a top-ranked Wall Street technology analyst at Merrill Lynch and Oppenheimer & Co. He has been a frequent guest on CNBC, MSNBC, CNN, NPR, and other networks. He has written for Business Insider, The New York Times, The Atlantic, New York, Slate, and other publications. He has hosted business-and-markets shows and conferences, including Yahoo’s TechTicker, The Bottom Line with Henry Blodget, and BI’s Ignition events. He has interviewed hundreds of leading tech, business, and political leaders and served as a member of the International Media Council of the World Economic Forum. He has published a non-fiction book about investing called The Wall Street Self-Defense Manual: A Consumer’s Guide to Intelligent Investing.

Henry started his journalism career at a newspaper in Nantucket, where he covered art, food, sailing, scalloping, football, and other stories. Henry has lived and/or worked on Nantucket for part of each year since the 1970s.

Henry grew up and lives in New York City.
